Living Out the Acts 1:8 Mission Together
Embrace Each Other in Christ’s Love
The busyness of life has made it easy to become disconnected and isolated. Not only does the church proclaim the Gospel, it also provides a community of people who embrace each other with the love of Christ. First Bible offers several ways to begin exploring biblical community and connect with other individuals through partnership, small groups, and, on a deeper level, discipleship.
What’s Offered?
Sunday Groups
Sunday Groups meet in the Café on Sunday mornings. These gathering times give adults an opportunity to grow deeper in relationship with one another as well as grow through the word of God. Bridge meets at 9a in the Café and is geared towards college and career age. Journey meets at 9a in the North Fellowship Hall and is geared towards young families. Investors meets at 9a in the South Fellowship Hall and is geared towards our 60s and older adults. Engaged meets at 10:30a in the South Fellowship Hall and focuses on our 40s-50s age group.
Men’s Ministry
Kindred is designed to be a cohesive unit of men focused on becoming more like Christ. The world pushes us to always strive for “something better.” But, what if “better” is measured with how well we love and accept the people God has placed in our lives? Kindred cultivates and instigates men to pursue God’s call to be a man in the footsteps of Master Jesus filled with purpose.
Women’s Ministry
Daughters of the King gives women a place to come together and support the vision of First Bible Baptist Church. Women can help encourage one another in their walk with God and empower one another to serve their friends, families, church and community. Daughters of the King isn’t just about “having something for the women,” but about people with commonalities coming together to strengthen their ability to minister.
Wednesday Night Bible Study
Wednesday Night Bible Study meets in our Coffee House at 6:30p for different study sessions throughout the year. This is a great way to connect mid-week over God’s word and in fellowship with one another. (Please note that there is no childcare for nursery through 5th grade.)
ADP Sports
The ministry is dedicated to demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ through sports. We are committed to providing an opportunity for the adults of our community to participate in sports surrounded by an atmosphere of safety and competitive fun. Adult Leagues include Men’s Softball, Sand Coed Volleyball, Coed Softball and Coed Volleyball. Pastor Mark Brown is our ADP Sports Director. For more information, please visit ADPsports.com.
Discipleship One-by-One
Discipleship One-By-One creates an opportunity for the Christ-follower to learn the doctrines of the church. Individuals pair with a disciple maker who spends one-on-one time sharing life and teaching God’s word through sixteen lessons. As a result of this special relationship, the disciple learns how to become rooted in God’s word.
Counseling
The Lord changes lives through reading and applying the scriptures and through prayer. He also uses those who minister His word to encourage and exhort others toward godliness. God has given us everything we need for life and He changes us as we are obedient to the word of God in the power of the Holy Spirit. God can heal anyone and anything through the grace and truth of His scripture.
