God’s strong desire for intimacy demands us to search the scriptures. This is an essential element of deepening our relationship with Him. Leadership training, prayer groups, and various ongoing ministries are just some of the ways FBBC provides for those desiring to strengthen their relationship with God.
Ministry Opportunities
Productions
Jesus used parables to illustrate a truth He wanted to convey. In the production ministry, drama, spoken word, songs and instrumental music are used in much the same way … to proclaim worship and convey a powerful message. Many people are needed behind the scenes as well as on the stage. If you would like to be part of this dynamic ministry, contact the Church Office.
Coffee House
Our Coffee House provides a space on Sunday mornings where people can gather to encourage one another in the Lord with conversation and a cup of coffee. If you enjoy connecting with people and brewing coffee, contact the Church Office to get involved.
Ushers & Welcome Team
Every Sunday many people enter the doors of our building. Each person should experience the love of Jesus Christ by those who welcome them. Our ushers and welcome team are an integral part of the success of our Sunday mornings Consider how you can play a part in a “changed life” one Sunday morning.
Cleaning Crew
The cleaning crew faithfully serves to be good stewards of the facilities that God has provided. Several teams take turns on a weekly basis to clean and care for the FBBC building. The current teams are looking for new teammates each week; if you are interested, contact the Church Office.
ADP Sports
God has called us to share Jesus through our dynamic sports ministry. Our leagues, clinics and camps are successful when the participants have godly, loving coaches, instructors, and helpers. Salt & Light
This monthly regional missions opportunity encourages the family of First Bible to reach out and invite people in the community to events, to church services, and to Jesus. If you are interested in taking to the streets of Blue Springs to reach our community, contact the Church Office.
FaithPlace Travelers & Friends
Through a variety of teaching styles and gatherings, our children’s ministry communicates the Bible and creates a godly environment for the future generation of God’s family to grow. There is always a need for parents, young adults, and willing servants to invest in this generation. If you are willing to be one that invests, contact the Church Office.
Hospitality
Life often brings us to a place where we just need someone to be there. With our hospitality team there are opportunities to help a mom with a new baby, provide meals for those who have lost loved ones, and encourage a brother or sister with a simple visit. And every one in God’s family could use somebody praying them through. If you would like to help in this ministry, contact the Church Office.
Praise & Worship
Sunday morning praise and worship is part of the church gathering together to give glory to God. How can God use you in a deeper way to be part of our music ministry? May you allow God to work through you to encourage others to sing joyfully!
Tech Team
Many things go on behind the scenes in order for Sunday and Wednesday services to operate. From sound to lighting to the images up on the screens, people are always needed. If God has placed upon your heart the important responsibility of giving Him glory through our family worship services, contact the Church Office.
Communications
Isaiah 12:4 tells us to “declare the Lord’s doings among the people.” We love to testify what God has done in the many gospel outreaches and disciple-making ministries of FBBC throughout the year. We also desire to use various media outlets and creative materials to promote upcoming events that our family can jump in on.
International Missions
During the year, First Bible engages in the Acts 1:8 mission through various international mission trips. If you desire to reach people beyond the walls of the church building, a mission trip might be what God is calling you to be a part of.
Care Ministry
Whether it’s a hospital visit or a project at someone’s home, the compassion of God is shown through the sacrifice of time. All it takes are servants just like you who have the heart to come along and be the blessing that God has directed. If you would like to be a servant that partners with others to have God-centered fellowship while meeting a special need, contact the Church Office.
Regional Missions
The people of First Bible are given many opportunities to live out and put into action the Acts 1:8 mission. When the call arises to get involved with VBSC, Salt & Light, ADP Sports Charity Golf Tournament or other opportunities to join in the mission, please remember why we do what we do. It’s all for the Lord Jesus Christ!
Vacation Bible Sports Camp (VBSC)
VBSC is a twist on the traditional vacation Bible school format. With the goal of reaching out into our community with the gospel, elementary aged boys and girls engage in organized games and sports activities at ADPSportsPark, then they enter a time of high energy worship, Bible teaching, and smaller group activities.If you are interested being part of this Regional Mission, contact the Church Office.
Prayer Groups
Each Sunday morning in the café at 8:00 am, people gather to hold up the arms of the missionaries we support. Although the financial support from the generous people of our church means so much to the success of each missionary, the prayer support means even more. Join a faithful group of God’s family as we endeavor to lend strong partnership in the Acts 1:8 mission for those who have surrendered all.
