Go and Preach the Gospel

The people of First Bible Baptist Church are given many opportunities to live out and put into action the Acts 1:8 mission. Two of the ways are through regional outreach activities and international mission trips. Regional outreach activities occur inside the borders of the United States, and often within the city of Blue Springs, giving people the occasion to reach out to the people of their own country. For those desiring to go beyond the borders of the U.S., a few international mission trips are planned over the course of the year.

Regional Missions

Vacation Bible Sports Camp (VBSC)

Vacation Bible Sports Camp (VBSC) is a twist on the traditional Vacation Bible School format. With the goal of reaching out into our community with the gospel, elementary-aged boys and girls will engage in organized games and sports activities at ADP SportsPark. Then, after outdoor time, they come into the church building for a time of high-energy worship, Bible teaching, and smaller group activities. It’s a fantastic week to be part of each summer.

ADP Sports Charity Golf Tournament

Each August, ADP Sports sponsors a charity golf tournament to benefit one or two special, local causes. Help us continue to build on the great tradition of raising funds for charity through golf events. It’s always a full day of fun and your participation as a sponsor, golfer or volunteer help make this annual event a huge success! Join Mark, Bobby, and all our featured guests as we tee off for charity at one of our local golf courses.

International Missions

MetroAmerica 020 (Good News In Action)

Central America has an unique, remarkable acceptance and openness to the gospel of Christ. From 0 degrees latitude to 22.5 degrees latitude, there are 230 million individuals who do not yet know Christ. MetroAmerica 020 exists to “go ye into the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,” with the goal of planting 25 churches by the year 2025. Following the examples of the Apostle Paul, major cities are targeted for church plants. Using teams of people to plant those churches, MetroAmerica 020 strives to evangelize the lost in the most effective ways possible.

International African Missions (IAM)

The simple purpose of reaching people for Jesus compels International African Missions to evangelize, teach, and train African nationals to reach the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa. IAM supports many national African men who have trained through the North Star Bible Institute in Zambia and been sent out as missionaries to their own land. Through raising awareness of the reality in Africa, IAM continues to support and train faithful men to fulfill the work that God has called them to do.
