Regional Missions Opportunity
EVENT INFORMATION
If you do not have a trunk, please park by the Blue Springs South baseball field. This will allow visitors to conveniently park in our church parking lot.
GENERAL HELP
If you are able to arrive early and help us with miscellaneous preparations, we will begin at 8:00 AM.
SCHEDULE
11:00 AM — All stations open and we are ready to go.
1:50-2:00 PM — Exit event and distribution of New Testaments
TRUNKS
– You should plan to arrive no later than 10:30 AM.
– When you arrive, you will be directed to a parking spot at the southern end of the lot (i.e., west of FaithPlace).
– You are responsible to DECORATE your own trunk.
– Please have the trunks decorated and ready for visitors by 10:45 AM.
– Arrive earlier if more set up time is needed.
– You are responsible to BRING your candy and fill your trunk.
– You should plan for at least 750 kids. (This can be very costly.)
– Please provide what you can for your own trunk.
– The church will provide candy as needed for those that run out.
– Please be friendly and engaging. (This is our mission field and we want everyone to have a positive experience.)
INFLATABLES
– Arrive around 10:30 AM and report to field.
– Listen and follow all safety instructions. Pay ATTENTION and remember “Safety, safety, safety!”
– Have fun and engage with kids.
– Look for opportunities to engage with parents, guardians, grandparents, etc.
CONSESSIONS
– Arrive around 10:15 AM and report to the concessions stand.
– Cooking hot dogs should begin around 10:45 AM.
– There will be two (2) stations.
– One station will be at the pavilion with hot dogs, chips and water.
– The second station will be just inside the south entrance with popcorn and apple cider.
– Look for opportunities to engage with parents, guardians, grandparents, etc.
TRAFFIC CONTROL and SECURITY
Arrive at 10:00 and find Mark Brown for instructions.
