Youth Ministry

Living Out the Acts 1:8 Mission Together

Primed Youth Group

We realize our society makes it tough on young people to pursue truth in a confusing world. Primed Youth Group creates an environment that embraces today’s youth where they are.

Primed Youth Group is comprised of Junior High and High School and several adults on the Servant Team. At Primed, students will be challenged to be “good ground” in receiving God’s Word, so they can bear fruit. Through the worship of God and the study of His word, we will strive to ‘Become Good Ground’. On Sunday mornings, the youth meet at 10:30a in the Fellowship Hall.

And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Luke 8:8

Camps

Each summer our Junior High and High School students have the opportunity to attend Summer Camp. This is the most anticipated week of the year for our students as they get away from technology and focus on hearing from God. Each year there is a guest speaker and worship time each day to prepare their hearts for that next step of growth or accepting Christ as their personal Savior.

The High School also gets away for a few days for a winter camp within the first couple of months of the year. This is a scaled down version of summer camp with a similar goal of spending time focusing on our relationship with the Lord.

Activities

Throughout the year, the youth have activities geared towards fellowship. Each Wednesday at 6:30p we meet to study the Bible and build relationships through games. Summers are spent out on the SportsPark before moving inside for the winter months. We also plan events once a month to increase the depth of our connections.

Senior Recognition

Each year, the month of May brings high school graduation for area students and marks a new chapter in life’s journey. At First Bible, we enjoy the opportunity to recognize all of the students who have been part of our youth ministry with a special Sunday celebration during the 9:00 am service. We play a slideshow of fun pictures of the students, allow each senior to share what is next for them in life, and present each graduate with a wide-margin Bible. It is a special time for our church family as we recognize this important achievement and communicate our support for each student as they take their faith walk with the Lord to the next level.
